Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate is one of the governorates of Egypt, and it was named after Sheikh Talha Abi Saeed Al-Shazly, the owner of the shrine in the city of Kafr El-Sheikh, who came to it from Morocco in the year 600 AH. The governorate is located in the north of the Arab Republic of Egypt, between the two branches of the Nile along a length of (100 km) on the Mediterranean coast, and it is bordered to the west by the Rashid branch with a length of (85 km), and to the east by the Dakahlia Governorate, and to the south by the Gharbia Governorate. The province is famous for agricultural and industrial activities, and even tourism, which is active throughout the year.
