
The North Governorate, or North Lebanon Governorate, is one of the governorates of Lebanon and includes six districts. Its administrative capital is the city of Tripoli, the second largest Lebanese city. The north is a natural haven and a spirit that makes this region of Lebanon distinct from the neighboring countries, as it has the highest peak, which is the "Black Qurna", which rises 3,090 meters above sea level. It also has the highest resorts in the Cedars region, as well as the mountains and rugged lands that made Lebanon's geography a distinctive landmark in the entire region. This region is described as heaven on earth, as there has been much talk about the religious sites that it includes, such as Maronite Christian churches and monasteries, which are considered among the oldest Christian monasteries in the world, without forgetting the sacred Qadisha Valley, which sheltered and protected religiously persecuted in the fifth century, and still today receives hermits and lovers Isolation and all those who search for inner peace.
