Kitulgala is a small town in western Sri Lanka, located in the humid region of the rainforest, which gets two monsoons every year and is one of the wettest places in the country. This town attracts a large number of tourists in the first three months of the year, especially in February, as it is the driest month. The main reason that drives tourists to visit Kitulgala is the desire to experience boating and white water rafting, as the Kilani River flows directly through Kitulgala, and it is the ideal place to try some water sports full of adventure and excitement. Most of the time I get the chance to swim, as there are forests suitable for hiking and waterfalls worth a visit.
