Al Ain National Museum is the oldest museum in the United Arab Emirates, established in 1969 AD under the leadership of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the United Arab Emirates and known as the Father of the Emirates. The museum was built to chart the history of the city of Al Ain from the Stone Age until the founding of the United Arab Emirates in 1971 AD, and includes artifacts extracted from many archaeological sites scattered throughout the region, including flint tools and arrowheads dating back to the sixth millennium BC. .
