Crystal Mountain

This wonderful area, in which there is a rare natural phenomenon, is located in the heart of the New Valley Governorate, specifically in the Farafra Desert. They are unique hills composed of more than 12 types of crystal-like stones that merge with each other, forming a stunning natural appearance that attracts tourists and visitors to see it from all regions of the world. According to geologists, this mountain has become like this as a result of the erosion factors it has gone through over millions of years, and at some point in time a huge meteorite also hit the area and generated very high heat when it hit the ground, which led to the melting of rocks and turning them into pieces that look like precious crystal.
