EVE Online Monument

Most video games honor their players with monuments created in their virtual worlds, but the makers of Eve Online have created a true tribute to gamers to celebrate the game's 10th anniversary. Eve Online was born in 2014, and the trio of monoliths looks like nothing the futuristic community of the game would have created. The memorial is located in Reykjavík, Iceland, where the game was actually created. The monument, more than 15 feet high, consists of three towers of different shapes, two of which are made of stone flanking a central, gleaming metal column. The obelisks stand on a broad base which is engraved with the names of every registered player in the game as of March 2014.
