Kitzbühel polo, a polo game on horseback, was established with the first snow polo tournament in January 2003; And starting with 4 international teams and 1,000 visitors in the first year. The winter event established itself as one of the world's leading polo events, reaching 8 international teams and 15,000 spectators by 2016, when in 2016 the first polo club was established in Kitzbühel and continues to serve as official host of the Polo World Cup.
