Solin - ancient city of Pompeipolis

Solin is an ancient historical city, of political and economic importance, that dominated the commercial movement in the Mersin region, due to its geographical location close to southern Anatolia, on the edge of the timber-rich Taurus Mountains and the fertile Cilician alluvial plain. The city was distinguished by its architectural development compared to the rest of the cities at that time, as it included a commercial port, the largest of its kind in the region. Today, the city is one of the distinctive archaeological areas that history lovers go to.
