Al Qurainiya – Al-Qurainiya is an archaeological site that includes a residential square dating back to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries on the Kuwaiti island of Failaka. It was discovered by a joint team of Kuwaiti and Italian archaeologists. Two years of excavation revealed traces of buildings believed to be of Portuguese origin, which include Many of the walls of the houses are built of coral and sea rocks, and the floors are covered with solid milk. The houses include a yard, bedrooms, and walls decorated with wall paintings common in that period. Pottery works believed to date back to the same period were also found. Kuwait decided to name the site “Al-Qurainiya” after a nearby hill in the northern part of the island.

Dickson House Cultural Centre – Dixon House is the home of Harold Richards Dixon, the British Political Resident in Kuwait. The construction of the house dates back to the beginning of the nineteenth century and is owned by one of the well-known Kuwaiti merchants, Jassim bin Mohammed bin Ali Al-Asfoor. In 1929 AD, Colonel Dixon was appointed as the representative of Britain in Kuwait, and he took this house as his residence. The house is still attributed to Colonel Dixon to this day. After his death, his wife, Umm Saud, continued to rent this house until 1990. After her death, the house was included in the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters.
