Formerly a sleepy fishing village, Tamarindo is now an increasingly popular destination for nature and adventure lovers. It is famous for its beaches overlooking the Pacific coast, which are characterized by clear waters and waves perfect for amateur swimmers and professional surfers, and some of them are home to nesting loggerhead turtles.
