Description of the place
The Agora, which is the ancient market, was built for the first time in the fourth century BC, when it was a meeting place for all the commercial, political and religious activities of the local population, and it was destroyed several times by strong earthquakes and rebuilt after each time it collapsed, as the Roman Emperor Marcus Marcus Aurelius last restored it when a major earthquake struck the city in AD 178.
