Description of the place
The construction of the Ak Yom Temple dates back to the eighth century and is one of the earliest known examples of Khmer architecture. It is believed to be the first temple built in the "temple mountain" style. It contains stone bearing inscriptions corresponding to Saturday, June 10, 674 AD during the reign of King Jayavarman I. You can enjoy looking out at the temple ruins and then relax in a hammock, have some barbecue and go for a swim.
