Al Janoub Stadium
Al Janoub Stadium is one of the eight stadiums designed to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which was designed by the British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, and is located near the former fishing city of Al-Wakra, and is inspired by the sailing boats that spread in the waters of Qatar, and the pearls which was an integral part of its economy. The design of this stadium reflects the sail of the wooden dhows of Qatar, which are traditionally responsible for a large part of the country's economy. It is worth noting that the stadium has a capacity of 40,000 fans, and the sixteenth round matches of the World Cup are scheduled to be played on its land.
