Al Khawaja Castle

Al-Khawaja Castle is located in the center of the village of Ni’lin, west of Ramallah. It was built by Mustafa Al-Khawaja in the Ottoman style, and its construction was completed by his son Darwish Al-Khawaja in 1831. Today, it is characterized by a large gate with two arches holding a stone panel on which poetic verses and the date of construction were inscribed. It leads to A large yard of 468 square meters and around it are distributed guard and supply rooms, a stable for horses and camels, and livestock breeding. The castle was restored in order to preserve the town's heritage, and it was attached to a teachers' center, a public library, a music center, a health center, and a media center.
