Al Qusair Castle

The history of Al-Qusayr Castle dates back to the Ottoman era, specifically to the year 1589 AD. It was built by the Ottoman Sultan Selim II, and the date of its construction was estimated based on information mentioned in a dated letter found in Qasr Ibrim in Nubia. Al-Qusayr Castle was built to protect the eastern borders from any external aggression. When visiting the castle, visitors will find four high towers, high walls built of limestone, and small openings at the top of the castle that were placed for shooting arrows and many more, so do not miss the opportunity to visit it if you are a history lover.
