During the historical Sakarya War, the village of Alaguz was chosen as the headquarters of the region's command by the Turkish armies, and the house in which the current museum is located was also designated as the presidential headquarters of the armed forces. This building, which was used by its owners until 1965 AD, was transferred first to the Ministry of National Education and then to the administration of the Atatürk Museum, after which it became one of the most important historical museums in the country, and it displays the armies’ equipment and clothes, and the stamps and seals of the army command, in addition to some distinctive pieces of furniture. .
