Description of the place
The history of Alanya Castle dates back to the thirteenth century AD, and it was built on the order of Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad I in order to protect the city. Today, many tourists from all over the world visit it to learn about its defense history and wonderful architectural design. And enjoy the panoramic view that overlooks it. This castle is located at an altitude of 250 meters, and directly overlooks the Mediterranean Sea; It consists of towering walls, and includes 140 towers, in addition to 400 cistern, and many villas. Alanya Castle was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009.
