Alicante Central Market

Located in the heart of Alicante, Alicante Central Market is the main source of high quality, fresh and locally grown produce in the city, with 292 stalls selling meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, bread, pastries, flowers and more, along with stalls of foods and spices typical of the region. Visitors to Alicante will love the colors and bustle of the market. It is housed in an eclectic-style building with modern motifs designed by the architect Enrique Sánches Sedeño, built in 1921, and has a rectangular basilica floor plan, surmounted by a hemispherical dome, and a small circular side building with a domed roof.
