The Amarante Municipal Food Market is held every Wednesday and Saturday, and for the past 100 years local families have been selling their own produce here, including kale leaves, black "zebra" tomatoes, smoked chorizois, acorn braised beef and ground bread flour Handcrafted and many other fresh and high quality local products.
