Amasra Castle

In the northern part of Amasra is a castle of mixed Roman, Byzantine, and Genoese heritage, with heavy sandstone walls, this castle often weaves the main image of the city's landscape today. The castle also features the Little Harbor Gate, which guards the Roman bridge (Kemer Bridge), as well as the towering walls supporting Hissar Ville, and the footpath that runs from east to west, along the northern half of the promontory.
