Amasya Clock Tower

Located on a bridgehead overlooking the river, this historic clock tower was built in 1865 by the first ruler of Amasya Ziya Pasha. It was rebuilt in 2002 and this tower is the center of the city. Under the clock tower small widgets, trinkets and handicrafts are sold. It has an important historical value for the residents of Amasya and is visited by a large number of tourists and locals due to its unique location, vitality, and the surrounding landscapes and unique archaeological sites.
