Anticline Durbuy

This archaeological site that you can enjoy near the ancient city of Durbuy is known as the Darbi fold or the Humalius rock. A fold is the geological term for a particular type of rock formed in a U-shape. The layers of this dome-shaped fold were formed from sea sediments accumulated over millions of years. This fold is more than 300 million years old. The highest point in the city sits atop this impressive rock formation.
