Description of the place
The Museum of Archeology and Ethnography, located in the fairgrounds in the city center of Samsun, was opened to visitors in 1981. The museum displays antiquities and ethnographic artifacts collected from Samsun and its surroundings, and in the Archeology section, bronze, terracotta and bone artifacts dating back to the Early Bronze Age, Hittite, Hellenistic and Roman are displayed.
