Basilica of Our Lady of the Pine

The Basilica of Our Lady of the Pines is a classically designed 18th century church with an ornate interior and a vibrant courtyard outside. It is considered the first and most important animistic temple in the Canary Islands, and contains many wonderful paintings and sculptures such as the image of Our Lady of the Pines, which embodies the legend circulated that in 1481 The image of Our Lady appeared on top of a pine tree where the current church is.
