Al-Suhaimi House is considered one of the most heritage places that express the civilizational and cultural history and the Arab-Egyptian architectural character. It is a traditional Arab house built on an area of 2000 square meters in the year 1648 AD. The house was named after another of its residents, Sheikh Muhammad Amin Al-Suhaimi from Al-Azhar Mosque. The house is one of the few houses that still maintains its original architectural condition despite the succession of ages. Al-Suhaimi House is currently used as an open museum of Islamic architecture, and as a center for artistic creativity affiliated with the Cultural Development Fund. Protecting the Egyptian cultural heritage from extinction and providing permanent exhibition venues for those groups affiliated with the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, which present free performances every Sunday at the Suhaimi Creativity Center.
