Bazaar Mosque
The Bazaar Mosque is located in the Bazaar district of the city of Trabzon. The mosque was built in 1839 AD by the Treasury Department, Osman Pasha, who was the governor of Trabzon for many years. Because the area in which the mosque was built is sloping, the shops were placed under the portico on the northern facade. The mosque is the largest mosque in the city, and you can clearly see the regular stone work in the building, as you will see the ornate borders in the Baroque style on the door and window moldings. The mosque consists of a portico with thin curtain walls placed between four vaulted columns with three sections in the portico.
