Beamish Museum

Beamish Museum offers an amazing experience of sights, sounds and smells that reflect what life was like in the north of England, and it is a unique museum that takes visitors on a journey into the past through its open-air exhibits, which occupies an area of 350 acres, and tells the story of the people of North East England in 1820s and early 1940s. The museum's main aim is to preserve an example of everyday life in the urban and rural North East of England in the period of the Industrial Revolution.
