Big Beach

Located on the eastern banks of the mouth of the Aradi River, the large beach is a wide sandy stretch bordered at the northern end by a small cliff on top of which is the 16th-century Fort of São João do Arad, which was originally built to defend the coast from pirates. Today, there are many tourist facilities such as cafes and shops, and it is considered one of the most famous beaches in the region, which makes it very crowded in the summer months.
