Bluebell Railway
A few miles from Brighton, the Blue Bell Railway is an impressive piece of British engineering heritage. This fully functioning railway runs 11 miles along the border between East and West Sussex, operating between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead. From here, you can catch a connecting train to London or Brighton. Famous for being the world's first preserved steam railway to operate a public service, the railway collection includes 30 antique engines and around 150 carriages most of them pre-1939. Special train rides including fine dining and Thomas the Tank Engine tours are offered for children.
