Bodrum Museum Of Underwater Archaeology
The Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archeology, one of the few important museums in the world, is the only underwater archaeological museum in Turkey. In this museum, located in Bodrum Castle, artifacts from excavations in Bodrum and its surroundings, as well as underwater excavation remains, are displayed. The museum includes 14 exhibition halls, and most of the exhibits are amphoras, and some of these bottles are gifts from those interested in the profession of sponge diving. Apart from the amphoras, we can say that the most important item in this museum is the remains of the sunken ship, which belong to a boat that sank in 1025 AD and are known to be the oldest remains of a sunken ship in the world.
