Description of the place
It is a theater with a capacity of about 900 seats. The building is designed in a neoclassical style. The theater was designed at the request of the city in 1827 by the city architect Pierre Bourla. Construction began in 1829, but it was postponed due to the Belgian Revolution, and the theater was completed in 1834. It is considered a masterpiece from all over.
