Bozcaada Castle is located on the northeastern tip of the island, and it is characterized by its unknown history, as it is likely that it was built before the fourteenth century, but there are no documents showing who built it or when it was built, perhaps it was built by the Phoenicians, or the Romans, or the Venetians. Fatih Sultan Mehmet completely restored it due to its important location during the Ottoman period, and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism restored it several times between 1965 and 1970, and finally in 1996. The castle consists of two parts: external and internal, and there is a moat that is 250 meters long and 10 wide. meters, south of the castle. Inside the castle, there are tanks, an arsenal, an infirmary, a well, a mosque, and different rooms.
