Braga Tower

The Braga Tower is all that remains of the old Braga Castle that was demolished at the beginning of the 20th century after it served as a prison. This thirty-meter-high granite structure gives an idea of the five towers that guarded the medieval walls. The tower still bears the coat of arms. Royal on its northeastern facade, and far from its original military purpose, the building is now in the care of the Association for the Protection, Study and Promotion of Cultural Heritage.
