Bursa Ataturk Monument
The Ataturk Bursa Monument is a monument commissioned by the Bursa Governor's Office for the sculptor Nijat Sirel and erected in Bursa Government Square in 1931 AD, and has become one of the city's defining landmarks. The monument consists of an illuminated marble base and a bronze statue of Ataturk, which depicts Ataturk as a victorious commander, dressed as a soldier on horseback. The monument was inaugurated during the celebrations of the eighth anniversary of the Republic.
