Castle of Kaysersberg
Kaysersberg Castle is 23 minutes from the French city of Colmar. It was built in 1227 in order to control the axis of an important corridor between Haute-Alsace and Lorraine, but during the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648) the castle, its house and ancillary buildings were burned and neglected until it was listed as a historical monument in 1841, and it is worth noting that it offers stunning panoramic views of the town of Kaysersberg and its surrounding areas, so do not miss climbing to its summit and enjoying these wonderful views.
