Description of the place
Rocky Castle is located 10 minutes from Zugdidi. This castle was built by Levan II Dadiani in 1647. In the late Middle Ages, the castle served as an important and well-fortified fortress of Samegrelo, the main purpose of which was to develop Trade and create an army against the Ottomans; Tourists visit it to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
