Catalhoyuk is one of the most important excavation sites in the world, where archaeologists have unearthed the largest Neolithic site ever, with artifacts dating back nearly 9,000 years ago, and at the entrance there is a small open museum that explains the history of the excavations and the importance of the site. It highlights the dawn of human settlement with unique examples of early domestic architecture and landscape paintings as well as sacred objects of the cult of the Mother Goddess.
