Chapel Bridge
The Chapel Bridge or Church Bridge, also known as the Capelbroca Bridge, dates back to the thirteenth century. It is a fully covered wooden pedestrian bridge that crosses the Reuss River. Named after the nearby St. Peter's Church, this bridge is unique because it contains a number of interior paintings dating back to the 17th century, and although many of them were destroyed in a fire in 1993, they have been restored to their splendor. Later, a tall stone tower and a decorated wooden ceiling were added in the seventeenth century AD, which gave it a special charm, making it one of the distinctive monuments in the city, which people flock to visit and enjoy walking inside its bridge and watching its stone tower and its water bodies.
