Chateau Dufresne (Dufresne House)
Chateau Dufresne is a historic building in Marseilles, Montreal. It was the seat of two wealthy French Canadian businessmen who played a major role in the city's history. The house was originally divided into two separate houses, one for each brother. In 1948, the family sold the property to the Congregation of the Holy Cross, which used it as an annex. In 1957, the City of Montreal became the new owner of the facility. The building houses dedicated rooms and each room provides an enormous depth of history and knowledge imparted on the two brothers. The building still maintains its old design and is visited by many lovers of history and antiquities.
