Cheltenham Beach in Auckland is a sandy beach close to North Head Historic Reserve. The beach has great views of Ranjito Island and is a good place for picnics as there are a number of benches in tree-shaded areas and the calm waters are ideal for swimming; It is worth noting that there is a small footpath that leads directly from the beach to the top of the North Head Historic Reserve, which offers charming views.
