The shrine of Cheraman Perumal is believed to be the burial place of King Cheraman Perumal; The king of the Indian state of Kerala, who lived in the same period in which the Prophet Muhammad (may God bless him and grant him peace) lived and converted to Islam and went to Makkah Al-Mukarramah for Hajj and on his way back he died in Salalah, and next to this shrine there is another tomb that is believed to be that of Taj al-Din, the assistant of the king, and this place is considered A destination of great religious importance to Muslims.
