Description of the place
The old Church of San Marcos Evangelista was founded in 1607, and then its area expanded to build a new church of beautiful dimensions. It was demolished in the early twentieth century and the current temple was built in the distinctive Gothic style, which was supervised by the famous engineer Antonio Pintor, and contains distinctive antique sculptures. Such as the sculpture of the Virgin of La Merced and the sculpture of San Marcos Evangelista.
