The Town Hall is a civic building in Cathays Park, Cardiff, and serves as Cardiff's center for local government. It was built as part of the civic center development in Cathay Park and opened in October 1906. It is built of Portland stone and is an important early example of Edwardian Baroque architecture. The hall includes a clock tower with a height of about 59 meters and includes a clock bell and four bells engraved on each of them with slogans in the English language. It also includes in its yards a fountain, a pond and two memorials. The memorial on the left is dedicated to the Polish soldiers, pilots and sailors who sacrificed their lives during World War II and another monument Dedicated to the victims of war.
