City Museum of Split

This museum was opened in 1950 at the initiative of the Academy of the Ministry of Culture on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the birth of Marca Marlowić, and this museum is located in the palace of the noble Babalik in the city of Split. This museum displays artifacts and works from different eras, times, and different civilizations as well, as well as weapons and tools used to protect the city. The museum displays many interesting artifacts, as documents, photographs, maps, and manuscripts help tell the ancient history of this city. The museum includes paintings, fragments of sculptures, monuments, and statues from the buildings of the city of Split.
