The house we see today in Clandon Park was built in the early 1730s by order of Thomas Onslow and his wife Elizabeth Knight, and houses the famous Marble Hall, designed in white marble with an elaborate stucco ceiling and carved marble fireplaces. Beautifully executed by the leading sculptors of the time.
