Cognacq-Jay Museum
Opened in 1929, the Gay Cognac Museum is a museum that houses a small but diverse collection of 18th-century French artwork. The museum houses more than 1,200 objects, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, furniture and decorative objects, also from the eighteenth century. The museum building consists of five floors, where visitors will be able to discover some rooms of the palace such as the kitchen or the servants’ quarters on the upper floor, as all rooms in the building contain various decorative holdings and artworks collected by Konyak and his wife throughout their life together.
