Dobo Istvan Varmuzeum
Eger Castle houses the István Dobó Castle Museum. The permanent exhibitions of this museum reflect the history of the castle, the underground fortress system, and the means and tools of torture in the Middle Ages. The remains of destroyed cathedrals can also be seen, and the marble cover of the tomb of István Dobó, the castle captain who defended it in 1552, and most of the museum's collections are archaeological material, with more than 44,000 objects, including ethnographic holdings numbering more than ten thousand, including folk home textiles and costumes.
