Donndorf fountain
Donndorf is a classic fountain in Weimar that opened in 1895. It was named after the German sculptor Adolf von Donndorf who carved it. This fountain is not the first that Donndorf sculpts, as it mimics the fountain he carved in Union Square in New York. At the top of the fountain is a statue of a mother carrying her two children while they were going to fetch water, and it is considered one of the distinctive landmarks in the city.
