Duomo di San Gimignano

Roman Catholic church and a famous little cathedral in San Gimignano, located in Piazza del Duomo in the heart of the city, the church is famous for the artistic collection of colorful paintings that adorn its walls, which are drawings depicting biblical scenes dating back to the fourteenth century. The church is distinguished by the details of the interior Roman architecture, in terms of the interior walls embossed with golden stars, geometric motifs in red, white and gold, and the corridors paved with black and white marble. The church has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, as UNESCO described the wall paintings in the church as "extremely beautiful works of art."
