El Kala National Park

The Kala National Park is located in the far northeastern border of Algeria, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, and it is one of the largest national parks in Algeria, covering nearly 800 square kilometers. Since its establishment in 1983, the park has proven to be worthy of preservation, and in 1990 Recognized as a UNESCO Biological Reserve, it is home to a unique ecosystem that protects a biodiversity of flora, fauna and marine life not found in other parts of Africa.
